Nottingham Bach Choir is delighted to announce the short-listed applicants for the 2025 Award.
The four finalists will each present a 20-minute recital programme at the competition recital. They are Noah Boneham-Hill, Imogen Clemmow, Ben Staniforth and Ben Watkins.
The NBC Liz Chant Bursary Competition Recital for Young Singers will be held on Saturday, 7th June 2025, 2.15pm at St John’s Church, Carrington, Nottingham NG5 2DP – all are welcome to attend. Admission is free and complimentary refreshments will be available. Donations to help cover our costs would be most welcome at the end of the recital.
The bursary of £2,000 is granted to a singer aged 16-26 with close links to Nottingham or Nottinghamshire. The recipient will show outstanding potential in communication and performance and will be selected following an audition before an audience. It is available as a result of a generous legacy by a long-standing choir member. Previous winners Emily Hodkinson and Abigail Barker have performed with the choir.
